This Item is an Extremely Rare, Engineering Sample of an Intel B2708L, Low Power 8192-bit (1024 x 8) EPROM, In grey ceramic package with quartz cap and tin Pins, as per the Photos.
The ES Marking on this Chip means that it is an Engineering Sample and as such it is Extremely Rare as very few were used as Engineering Samples
The 2708L at 425mW is available for system requiring lower power dissipation than from the 2708.
A power dissipation savings of over 50% without any sacrifice in speed is obtained with the 2708L.
This Intel B2708L Engineering Sample appears to have been manufactured during Week 26 of 1978 in Malaysia.
I am unable to test this Chip for functionality so it is being sold for collection purposes only and as such has no warranty or guarantee of being functional.
I can assure any buyers that the prices for these vintage Chips will rise significantly over the coming years as they have done so over the past 30 years so it will be a good investment for them as the majority of the older chips have been scrapped for their gold content.
