This Item is a Very Rare Intel C1702A 2048-bit (256 x 8) Static EPROM in White Ceramic that is New Old Stock in it's unopened Shipping Clamshell Package as per the Photos.
The intel 1702A was released by Intel during the 4th Quarter of 1972.
The 1702A is packaged in a 24-pin dual in-line package with a transparent lid.
The transparent lid allows the user to expose the chip to ultraviolet light to erase the bit pattern.
A new pattern can then be written into the device.
This Intel C1702A Chip appears to have been manufactured in Mexico at an unknown date.
I am unable to test this Chip for functionality so it is being sold for collection purposes only and as such has no warranty or guarantee of being functional, however because it is New Old Stock, the chances of it being functional are quite high.
I can assure any buyers that the prices for these vintage Chips will rise significantly over the coming years as they have done so over the past 30 years so it will be a good investment for them as the majority of the older chips have been scrapped for their gold content.
