This Item is a Very Rare Early Verson of an Intel C2708 8192-bit (1024 x 8) EPROM in White Ceramic package with ground strap, gold pins and No Copyright as per the Photos.
The Intel 2708 is an 8192-bit ultraviolet light erasable electrically programmable EPROM, ideally suited where fast turnaround and pattern experimentation are important requirements.
Intel released the 2708 in 1975 and this Intel C2708 appears to have been manufactured during Week 29 of 1975 in Malaysia not long after it was released.
I am unable to test this Chip for functionality so it is being sold for collection purposes only and as such has no warranty or guarantee of being functional.
I can assure any buyers that the prices for these vintage Chips will rise significantly over the coming years as they have done so over the past 30 years so it will be a good investment for them as the majority of the older chips have been scrapped for their gold content.
