This Item is an Extremely Rare Intel C8205 High Speed 1-of-8 Binary Decoder in White Ceramic with Gray Traces in a Dual Inline Package (DIP) as per the Photos.

1st released by Intel in the 4th Quarter of 1973 the 8205 decoder can be used for expansion of systems, which utilize memory components with active low chip select input.
When the 8205 is enabled, one of its eight outputs goes “low”, thus a single row of a memory system is selected.
The 3 chip enable inputs on the 8205 allow easy memory expansion.
For very large memory systems, 8205 decoders can be cascaded such that each decoder can drive 8 other decoders for arbitrary memory expansions.
Other applications of the 8205 included that of a “state decoder” in an 8008-based system.

This Intel C8205 Chip appears to have been manufactured during week 22 of 1975 in Malaysia

I am unable to test this Chip for functionality so it is being sold for collection purposes only and as such has no warranty or guarantee of being functional.

I can assure any buyers that the prices for these vintage Chips will rise significantly over the coming years as they have done so over the past 30 years so it will be a good investment for them as the majority of the older chips have been scrapped for their gold content.
