This Item is an Extremely Rare Version of an Intel D2708 8192-bit (1024 x 8) EPROM in White Ceramic package with ground strap and gold pins as per the Photos.
What makes this Chip so rare is that it is in a "C" type White Ceramic Package where as the Vast Majority of "D" versions were produced in a Gray Ceramic Package.
The Intel 2708 is an 8192-bit ultraviolet light erasable electrically programmable EPROM, ideally suited where fast turnaround and pattern experimentation are important requirements.
This Intel D2708 appears to have been manufactured during Week 43 of 1979 in Malaysia.
I am unable to test this Chip for functionality so it is being sold for collection purposes only and as such has no warranty or guarantee of being functional.
I can assure any buyers that the prices for these vintage Chips will rise significantly over the coming years as they have done so over the past 30 years so it will be a good investment for them as the majority of the older chips have been scrapped for their gold content.
