This item is for a Very Rare Microsystems International MF1101AR 256-Bit SRAM in a White Ceramic with Gray Traces Dual Inline Package as per the Photos.

Microsystems International, (A Canadian Company) were a Second Source for a number of Intel Products including the 1101 SRAM , the 1402 Shift Register, the 1702 Eprom  and the 8008 Processor.

Customers, particularly large ones like IBM, often insisted on multiple manufacturers for chips to ensure a consistent and reliable supply chain.
Relying on a single source could lead to disruptions and potential shortages, which was a major risk

This MF1102AR SRAM Chip appears to have been manufactured during week 19 of 1972 most likely at a Canadian Plant.

I am unable to test this Chip for functionality so it is being sold for collection purposes only and as such has no warranty or guarantee of being functional.

The 1101 was developed in parallel with the 3101, but lost the race to be Intel’s first product. It was produced with Silicon gate MOS (Metal Oxide Semiconductor) technology, which gave Intel the edge it needed to produce high density memories.

I can assure any buyers that the prices for these vintage Chips will rise significantly over the coming years as they have done so over the past 30 years so it will be a good investment for them as the majority of the older chips have been scrapped for their gold content.
